I'm not going to take up much of your time with this one.

I want you to look for Asheville on social media. I want you to look up Asheville on Google Maps. See how far it is from the coast, how high up it is.

There are climate experts who talk a big game about how people are going to have to move to continue their lives in the post-climate crisis world. Those experts are assholes talking to people with money. Nowhere is safe.

When people talk about the harm mitigation vote, think about Joe Biden's lukewarm climate plan. Think about all the times the Dems could have done something about climate change. All the times people in power decided to hide the truth about climate change or outright lie. These are not people we can trust with our lives.

When people scoff at the idea of communities banding together to survive the worst possible scenarios, tell them about Asheville, where an anarchist bookstore is serving as an emergency operations center. Mutual aid is keeping people alive there.
